The Terms and Conditions of Use described below apply to everybody who visits the site. If you proceed to visit any part of this site you are agreeing to adhere to and accept the Terms and Conditions as legally binding. We advise you to consult these instructions regularly, as they may be modified from time to time and without notice.

1. Intellectual property

This site is owned and operated by the Nelson Mandela Aventis Project for Combating TB ("NMA"). The presentation and each of the materials, including trademarks, logos and domain names, posted on the web site located at www.tbfree.org (hereinafter the "Site"), are protected by the applicable laws of South Africa. No material from the Site may be used, copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, distorted, transmitted or distributed in any way, in total or in part, without NMA’s prior written consent, unless provided otherwise by the applicable law of South Africa. The only authorized copies are for personal, non-commercial, home use.

2. Nature of information

The Site contains information relating to health, fitness, the medical domain and various kinds of medical treatment reserved exclusively for use by human beings. This is for information purposes only and is not meant to be a substitute for the advice provided by your own physician or pharmacist. You should not use the information contained herein for diagnosing any illness or physical problem or in order to prescribe or use any medication presented on the Site. You should always consult your own physician or pharmacist.

As the case may be, expert opinions concerning a particular area in relation with the content of the Site shall be posted on the Site, or extracts from press articles. Such information represents only the opinions of the respective experts or of the newspaper, which opinions are not necessarily those of the Nelson Mandela Aventis Project for Combating TB.

NMA has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content of any third party sites to which hyperlinks may be provided and NMA strongly recommends that you review the legal terms of any site you visit before using it further.

4. Security

NMA is not obliged to take any precautions to prevent the Site from being contaminated by, including, but not limited to, one or more "viruses", "Trojan horses" or any other "parasites". NMA explicitly disclaims any legal liability for any loss or other damage sustained by a user or users as a result of the intentional or accidental release or provisioning of information on the Site by an employee of NMA or any third party.

5. Limitations of liability

NMA does not guarantee the accuracy, precision, updating or exhaustiveness of the information made available on the Site. 6. Availability of the Site

You acknowledge that (i) it is technically impossible that the Site will be provided free of defaults and that NMA cannot take any responsibility for this, (ii) that defaults may lead to the temporary unavailability of the Site, and that (iii) the operation of the Site may be adversely affected by conditions and performances outside NMA’s control.

NMA and/or its suppliers may, at any time, temporarily or in permanently modify or interrupt, all or part of the Site in order to perform maintenance work and/or make improvements and/or changes to the Site. NMA is not liable for any modification to or suspension or interruption of the Site.

7. Applicable Law

The Site provides information for the Nelson Mandela Aventis Project for Combating TB in South Africa only. Although visitors from other countries may access the Site only the laws of South Africa shall govern.
